GEMS & SPORTS

• 12 players  were selected for Regional Level Games & Sports.

• Students  won  04  Gold  & 01 Bronze  medal in District Level Karate Championship organized by  “HELP” Society.

• Students won  06 gold, 01 silver & 01 bronze medal in  Martial art championship organised by  HELP Society (Distt. Level) on 12 Feb 2006 at Haldwani, Nainital.

• 11 Students participated in State Level Karate Competition & won 05 Gold, 01 Silver & 01 Bronze medal on 11 & 12.02.06 at Haldwani, Nainital. 

• Students participated in the District level competitions at Sports stadium, Haldwani, organized by Govt. of  Uttranchal  from 14th to  25th  August 2005 and stood overall Winner.

• Volleyball - winner
• Football    -  Runner
• Athletics  - 12 Gold,  14 Silver,  15   Bronze medals.

• Inter School Kabaddi Tournament was held from 24 to 26 January 2006 in our Vidylaya & JNV Nainital became overall champion. 

• Students won  01 Gold, 01 Silver & 01 Bronze medal in Women’s open Athletics Competition organised in November 2005.

• Students won  05 gold medals in  Gurukul Cup Tournament in October 2005.

SESSION 2006-07

• Students participated in CLUSTER ATHLETICS & won  13 Gold  8 Silver , 7 Bronze medals.  8 students were selected for Regional.

• Students participated in the district level competitions  at Sports stadium, Haldwani, organized by Govt. of  Uttranchal  from 12th  August 2006.

ADVENTUROUS  ACTIVITIES

• 10 students participated in Adevnture Training camp organised by OSD, Almora (Govt. of Uttranchal) from 03 to 13 Aug. 2005.   07 Students were awarded A Grade, 01 Student B grade & 2 students were awarded C Grade.

CCA

CCA programmes are conducted in the Vidyalaya as per guidelines of NVS under four heads in each month:

ACTIVITIES

1. Inter house competitions -Folk Dance, Drama, Speech, Debate, Art, Group Song,  fancy dress are organized on different occasions/ weekly.

2. CCA acivities are organized as per Samiti’s Instructions.

3. Different national festivals & occasions -Independence day, Republic day, Teacher's day, Gandhi Jayanti Swami Vivekanand Jayanti, Ambedkar Jayanti, Netaji Subhash Jayanti etc are celebrated in Vidyalaya with great enthusiasm.

4. Hindi Pakhwara was celebrated & Other festivals like Holi, Baisakhi, Basant Panchami, Janmastami etc are celebrated joyfully.

• 19 Students of the Vidyalaya presented Kumaoni Folk Dance in the Regional Cultural Meet – PRAGYANAM-2005, A REFLECTION OF  TALENTS  of Navodaya Vidyalayas at RAVINDRALAYA, LUCKNOW.

• Won Ist Prize  in dance competition held at MAHARSHI VIDYA MANDIR, RANIBAGH on the occasion of Bithday of BHARAT RATNA –PT. GOVIND BALLABH PANT.

• Cultural Programmes were presented by students at Amia Junior High School on the occasion of Communal Harmony Day.

• A Sadbhawana Rally marched by the students along with all the teachers on the Jayanti of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi.

SCOUT & GUIDE

• 02 Scouts & 02 Guides participated in Scouts & Guides Adventure Programme organised from 30th March 2006 to 5th April 2006 and were ranked A+.

• ARSH (Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health) Programme

• 03 teachers Sh.U. C. Mishra (Music Teahcer), Sh. Y.S.Mishra (Art Teacher) & Mrs. Asha Joshi (Staff Nurse) were trained at JHANSI (U.P.) as a trainer for ARSH  Project  of  UNESCO to implement the programme in our Vidyalaya.

• ARSH programme was  implemented in our Vidyalaya in October 2005.

• HIV AIDS & DRUGS ABUSE AWARENESS Programme  was organized in the Vidyalaya in November 2005.

• Pre-Test of students under ARSH programme was conducted in November 2005.

PACE SETTING ACTIVITIES

• Computer Education Programme for the students of nearby schools during year 2005 & 2006.

• Wild Life Conservation week was celebrated along with nearby schools 01.10.2005 to 07.10.2005.

• Campaign for Communal Harmony was made on 24.11.2005 in nearby village Dehra & Amritpur.

• Mobile Library was sent to   Amia High School & Primary School in the nearby Amia Village on 30.11.2005.

• Mrs. Indira Hirdayesh, Minister for PWD, Govt. of Uttranchal honoured 07 students & one teacher Miss Abha Verma, CFCSA for their active participation in Women Empowerment "DURGA VAHINI" workshop.

• Inter School Kabaddi Tournament was conducted by the vidyalaya from 24 to 26January 2006

HEALTH & HYGIENE

• Weekly Visit by Vidyalaya  doctor  to attend the sick students.

• An eye Testing Camp was organized in the Vidyalaya during 2005-06.

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• 02 students participated  in  Science Exhibition held at JNV Rudrapur (UA) from 23-09-05 to 24-09-05 .

• Science Day was celebrated by conducting various activities viz. Assembly talks, Science Quiz Competition etc. by Students.

• Junior Science Lab is established in the Vidyalaya.

COMPUTER  EDUCATION

• Vidyalaya has a well equipped Computer Lab with 22 computers.

• Computer Literacy Programme under CLASS Project for the students of nearby schools was conducted successfully during summer vacations 2005.

• Computer Literacy Programme ICT@School  for the students of  nearby schools  was conducted effectively during summer vacations 2006.

• 04  Students from Vidyalaya participated in Uttranchal  Computer Genius Child  Competition 2005 organised by HELP Society, UA from 12.07.05 to 18.07.05 at NCS Kathgodam. 01 Student Km. Monika Chhimwal (Class IX) was selected to participate in final round.

• One student, Ashutosh Mishra (Class IX)  stood Runner in Computer Exhibition held at JNV, Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar from 23.09.05 to 24.09.05.

• Vidyalaya has a  SMART CLASS ROOM & teachers are using computers  for making their teaching more  effective and interesting .

YOGA

• 24th BN NCC --Cadets were trained by PET Sh. L.C.Tiwari & students of our Vidyalaya in a Yoga Shivir.

• A Yoga Training Camp was organised in the Vidyalaya from 01st August 2006 to 08th August 2006  in collaboration with  Patanjali Yogapeeth, Haridwar.

YOUTH PARLIAMENT 

• Youth Parliament was organised at School Level during the session 2005-06.

OTHERS

• Regular Parent Teacher Council Meetings are being conducted.

• Environmental Education & Disaster management Programmes  are organized in the Vidyalaya.
